Dressing for a flight+Sleeping in a flight
In order to stay comfortable, dressing appropriately for a flight plays a very big role.
1. Try wearing sweatpants and sportswear; don't forget to tuck your feet in socks!
2. This might be crazy but logically, very smart. Tire yourself out as much as you can. Go running around the house, up and down a building and, I am sure you will hit the hay in the flight in no time. Get only a couple of hours of sleep which will automatically put you to sleep later.
3. Next, remove all pains from your body. Light stretching would do the job.
4. While sleeping, put your neck pillow the other way round.
5. Listen to white noise. Studies prove that it is very easy to fall asleep. Use whitenoisemp3s.com/ if required.
6. Eating food that is rich in carbohydrates will put you to sleep very soon.
7. The dry air in the cabin can steal your moisture quicker than you realize. Dehydration can lead to dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, lightheadedness, and can contribute to mental fog. Keep yourself well hydrated throughout the flight by drinking plenty of water.
Kids, flights, tantrums!
It is simply not easy with kids and their ear aches aboard flights. This can be prevented. Just follow the following.
1. Open the kids air tubes by making him consume a lot of liquids like water and juices.
2. Keep the kid as happy as ever. Take his/her favourite toy. Give him almost whatever he wants on a flight, except crazy food stuff.
3. Put a candy in the kid's mouth and instruct him to keep sucking it only.
4. Don't laugh on this one; ask your kid to yawn purposely. Because yawning is contagious, try not to fall asleep while giving instructions. LOL!!
P.S: Ever wondered why children and infants cry aboard aeroplanes? It is because crying balances the outer and inner ear pressure.
